Shifts

Three shifts in London. A note is for Leila Haddad.

• Wire editor

  London · with Samir Qureshi

You file news with a time and a name. You mark what is still unchecked. You sit with Samir on the morning wire.

• Analysis editor

  London · with Hannah Cole

You write the desk half of an item. You keep it apart from the words that arrived. You sit with Hannah.

• Research assistant

  London · with Marta Bianchi

You fill the card: place, date, name, and the gap. A note that cannot fill it does not go out as research. You sit with Marta.
